What is a virtual landline?

Virtual landline is our new home phone service that works over your broadband connection.

We’ve made the transition to virtual landline, from the old analogue network. That outdated network will be switched off to all providers in 2025.

What our virtual landline does for you?

Virtual landline is a much simpler alternative to your standard landline that requires less hardware and better call quality.

Those who plan on signing up or switching to our virtual landline have the ability to use their existing phone handset.

If you’re an existing customer:

We'll get in touch when it's time for you to move. Once we've received confirmation that you want to change to a virtual landline, it can take up to 10 days for your switch date.

No extra equipment or handset is required for your switch. Our new service is capable working with your current and existing handset.

If you’re a new customer:

Simply choose the phone plan that you desire (only available with broadband), and we'll contact you with your switch date.

No extra equipment or handset is required for your switch. Our new service is capable working with your current and existing handset.

If you’re an existing customer, we’ll be contacting you soon with your switch date. For most households, it’s a simple case of unplugging your phone from its current socket and plugging it into your ZYBRE One Router on the day of your switch.

By 2025, the UK's current analogue landline will be completely switched off, leaving just the new virtual services. 

So, if you're looking to keep a landline, you'll have to switch to by then.

No additional equipment is required. 

Our virtual landline is compatible with your current handset, so you won't require a new one.

In the same way your broadband won't work, your virtual landline will equally go down during a power cut, so you're unable to make or receive calls.
